Check the new poll to the left to the left...
Yesterday was my first day back after a week and a half of being off on family leave, I was sick the whole time, still am... wahhhh!
The call came to report to the yard at 4:30am Thursday morning and I will be going somewhere and doing something. Its difficult to go to bed at 8:30pm when you have been staying up until 11pm watching BSG for a week and a half...

Pretty Sweet!
I went on a food waste route, got home at 11am and continued to do shit around the house and yard to ready it for our daughters first birthday.
No nap, and that usually leads to me being called in at night.
So when the phone rang at 7pm telling me to come to work at 9:30pm I was not surprised, a bit angry at God, but not surprised.

work harder gypsy
Awww....booohoooo....did the little baby have to work 11 whole hours in 2 days....how awful....it must be a real torture to have to face 5.5 hours of work each and every day.....it's practically auschwitz....when will the torture end
p.s.-maybe if you worked on your math skills they would move you up into management....cancel that, double counting work hours is probably a prerequisite
allow me recount for you oh math wizard:
wed 11PM sleep
thurs 3AM wake
thurs 4AM work, no breaks.
thurs 10AM punch out
no nap
thurs 7PM get call to report to work at 9:30PM
thurs 9:30PM work
fri 1AM 20 min break while driver takes truck to dump
fri 3:30AM punch out
fri 4:30AM go to bed
fri 10:45AM wake the fuck up.
So if my California Catholic/public school math skills add up ok in your eyes it looks like
29.5 or so.. hours covered here. Less than two days me thinks...
The beauty of being a garbage man is that I do not need math skills.
I still make more than management.
and you.
I am not bragging or complaining, just stating the conditions of my life same as any other person out there blogging for validation.
what do you do,
bike messenger?
I am curious...
